I am thrilled to bring to Network Marketers' the Biggest Mistakes they make, especially when they are amateurs. This can cause slow growth and painful progress when trying to build their organization and grow their business. Anyone who has tried Network Marketing has made more that one of these mistakes, and probably all of them in some form. If you are ready to blast your business into the hemisphere, read on and take notes.
One big mistake Network Marketers make is they make it sound too easy. Inexperienced network marketers tend to lead their prospects to believe that it is easy. It is simple, but it's not easy. They make it sound as if you will get rich working a 2-hour work week. They will tell them things like, "All you have to do is pass these out. All you have to do is get people on the call. All you have to do is get people to the meeting. This is easy!" Well really? Is that who you want in your downline? People who don't really want to work? Not me. I want go getters, people who have the same hunger I have, people who are reaching for the golden ring because they know it is out there and they are willing to work to go out and get it. Do you really want people who aren't willing to get a little uncomfortable for a little while? I want people who are going to go out and talk to their friends, their family, their neighbors, their business contacts and are not afraid to make a friend or two wherever they go. I want people who will go to the seminars and conventions, people who will go to any lengths to get the message out.
I'm telling you, making it sound too easy is one of the biggest mistakes new and inexperienced network marketers can make. They say stuff like, "Our marketing plan is best! Our compensation plan is the best! Our products are the best-they sell themselves! Our product flies off the shelves and the money just flies back in and we don't have to do anything!" Now I know I sound crazy to you, but that's how you sound to them-CRAZY! But then 2 weeks in to the deal they find out that it's not that easy and they're gone. You can't tell a prospect that's lucky to be pulling in $25K a year that by this time next year they will be making a million. That doesn't compute with them so don't try to make it sound easy. You will be better off in the long run if you go after more qualified prospects. People who aren't trying to get rich quick but are really looking for an opportunity. One of the biggest mistakes of the novice network marketer is telling a new person that this is easy. Stop telling them it's so easy!
I hope you enjoyed this segment and look forward to sharing more of my experiences with you in the coming days.
