When I got started in my network marketing business I was told to buy leads and then call them. I didn't have that much money at the time so I figured why not. The price of the leads went for $5, and I could get as many as I wanted. My upline leaders said these are called leads, and that is how they built their huge downlines. They said the leads came in from ads of people looking for home based business opportunities. I picked up 20 of these leads. 11 of the leads said they didn't know how I got their number. 6 of the leads said never to call again. And 3 of the leads said I was the 15th person who has called them today.
Well I was a bit ticked off when I got done calling all these leads. I later found out, the leads had called in on a TV ad that was offering them a free toaster for their information. This is what you call over priced junk leads. If your upline leader comes to you and says he/she has some leads, run as fast as you can.
I struggled in MLM for many years. It wasn't until I started generating my own leads that I began to see huge success in my network marketing company. If you use the Internet to generate your own leads, you will finally be on the path to creating a huge downline in your MLM company.
When you generate your own leads, these people are only for you to contact. No one else will be able to pitch their opportunity because its your lead. But you may be asking "What is the best way to generate leads for myself"? Let me give you my blueprint for creating my own leads that I can follow up with anytime I want.
Generating your own leads is not that complicated, but still many mess it up, or just think its to technical for them. The very basic form of lead generation is setting up a website called a lead capture page. All this is, is one basic webpage that offers something for free in-return for a name and email. You can either use an MLM system, that has all these in place, or you can setup your own website to capture leads.
If you use an MLM system, make sure they have lead capture pages and emails you can plug into your autorepsonder. Look for a system that is turnkey, and all you have to do it promote the pages.
You can set up your own lead funnel system by setting up a hosting account, then buying a domain, and last get setup with an automated email responder. Hostgator is good for hosting, godaddy can be your place for a domain, and Aweber is the best autoreponder service.
